Rep. Cresent Hardy (R-NV) said recently at a Libertarian Party event that he hoped his children would never be a “drain on society” like people who were disabled.
In audio published this week by the Nevada State Democratic Party, Hardy can be heard speaking to attendees at the Libertarian Political Expo in Las Vegas.
“I have three children,” Hardy explains. “One of them is summa cum laude and two were magna cum laude. The other one, he didn’t need an education. He works for Raytheon, smarter than all the rest. He works hard, he builds things that are genius. Some people have that ability.”

  1. Those who have been shown as moral disgraces to our society should not hold power. Should not control the livelihood of others! I'm looking at you Rep. Crescent Hardy.

Gee, Mr. Congressman, did you ever think that if you actually supported and passed bills/legislations that allowed for more inclusive job opportunities & placement than those with differences wouldn't be "a drain on society"? How about more long-term support for those with differences, since it's been proven ten-fold that implementing a system that works is far cheaper than pushing a system that is broken.

The problem you have with how you see the differently -able as a strain on the US, comes from ignorance and comes from the fundamental laziness politicians have when they don't care to actually address and assist the communities that pays their salary. Lastly, these "drains on society" are literally the exact same PEOPLE who have historically contributed and evolved mankind. From Einstein to Van Gogh, I would like to see how this world would fare without the genius minds of these "drains'.

Remember, each election we all have a chance to keep narrow-minded morons like this out of office and from controlling our lives!
